Urban Decay Naked 3: Swatches and Review

The Naked 3 Palette caused a long queue outside Sephora Ion in Singapore when it came out.
I didn’t join the queue, but got my hands on during Christmas last year.

The packaging of the palette reflects the eyeshadow colours that it carries.
Rose gold colours, pink, attention grabbing.
I especially like the packaging of the Naked 3 Palette. Just like the Naked 2, it is a sturdy metal casing that can shut tightly.
Compared to the Naked 2 however, I feel like the lid of the Naked 3 Palette can be bent even more. Though not all the way like the Naked 1, this is a huge improvement.

There are a total of 12 colours, all of which are new.
All colours are swatched without a primer base – they’re much more vibrant if primers are used.

My photographs are taken with my phone. If you want to have a more accurate understanding of the colours, please read on:
From left to right: Strange, Dust, Burnout, Limit
Strange is a matte cream beige colour, great for highlighting the brow bone or inner corner of your eyes.
Dust is one of the colours with the most shimmer (in natural & artificial lighting), with pink and white flecks of glitter. After some months of using it, I think it also has the most fall out, so remember to give your brush a tap before using it.
Burnout is a rose pink colour, feminine and soft, great colour for dates.
Limit is a matte brown, great for blending in the crease. It also has a pinkish hue.
From left to right: Buzz, Trick, Nooner, Liar, Factory
Buzz is like dust, just darker in tone, with more gold in it.
Trick is a light copper colour with pink and white shimmer flecks in it.
Nooner is a darker version of Limit, great for putting in the outer V of the eye as it is matte.
Liar is a dark copper colour that is cooler in tone.
Factory is a dark brown and a nice metallic shade. It’s a really sultry shade.
From left to right: Mugshot, Darkside, Blackheart
Mugshot is a taupe-like metallic colour, one of my favourites.
Darkside is a dark brown colour with a slight shimmer, much toned down than other shimmery shades.
Blackheart is a beautiful black, with tiny specks of pink shimmer in it.
One of my favourite looks is created using 4 colours from the palette:
Lid: Buzz
Crease: Liar
Outer V: Nooner
Brow Bone: Strange
With the primer potion used on my lids, I find that these colours blend easily and stays on for easily 6 hours.
The Naked 3 Palette retails for $82 in Sephora stores in Singapore and $52 in the USA.
Out of all 3 naked palettes, I love this one the most!

If you’re tempted, go to the outlet and swatch some of them today – you’ll be pleasantly surprised. 😉
