It’s been a fairly long time since I’ve last made a card, and that’s partially due to the fact that I have so many cards lying around the house.
Nevertheless, I decided to start crafting again – before my university schedule starts getting hectic.
This is a rather simple card to create, using only one stamp set, one ink pad and copic markers.
The markers can be substituted for colour pencils of course.
The stamp set I used is from Lawn Fawn, called hello sunshine.
I cut the “hello sunshine” sentiment apart, so that I can stack them on top of one another.
I know it’s rather scary to cut your stamps, but clear stamps aren’t hurt if you cut them carefully!
Anyway, it’s safe to say by now that lawn fawn stamps are my favourite. I just can’t get enough of them.
In fact, I’m hoping to get more!
Living in Singapore, there’s a limit to the variety of stamp sets I can get.
I’m hoping to save up enough this year to get my first batch of stamps from Simon Says Stamp.
This card took less than 10 minutes to make, from start to finish.
I stamped the little images from the stamp sets with Momento Tuxedo Black ink, an ink that works great for copic colouring.
Then I coloured in the little birds with 2 shades of yellow, and the grass was done with 2 shades of greens, in flicking motions.
Crafting doesn’t always have to take a long time for it to look cute, and this card will be perfect for a love one.
Perhaps, it’ll be a great valentines card that’s non-traditional (with colour schemes of reds and pinks).
I’m planning to do up another card soon, since I bought a stamp set from Mama Elephant on clearance.
